Minister of Higher Education chairs the meeting of the Board of Directors of the City of Scientific Research

The Board of Directors of the City of Scientific Research and Technological Applications in Borg Al Arab held a meeting on Sunday under the chairmanship of Dr. Khalid Abdul Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in the presence of Dr. Maha Al-Damlawi,

At the beginning of the meeting, the minister stressed the keenness of the political leadership to support scientific research and benefit from research projects that are concerned with the priorities of the sustainable development plan of the country 2030. He pointed to the need to obtain a return from the projects and the research innovations provided and to convert them into a product, stressing the importance of linking scientific research with industry, Research efforts towards serving and responding to the needs of the State.

Abdul Ghaffar stressed the importance of scientific publishing of research projects that help solve the problems facing the society. He called for conducting an assessment at the level of all centers, institutes and scientific research bodies in scientific journals such as NATURE and SCIENCE.

For her part, Maha Al-Damlawi to establish a specialized technical office to deal with investors in response to the Minister’s proposal to meet with the Board of Directors.

The Council also approved the restructuring of the Permanent Scientific Committee for Animal Production. Dr. Essam Khamis, Deputy Minister for Scientific Research, Dr. Mahmoud Sakr, President of the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, Dr. Yasser Refaat, Secretary General of the Council of Centers, Institutes and Research Bodies, and Dr. Ashraf Shaalan, President of the National Research Center.
